Why fundraise? Due to budget cuts, there is little money for athletics. Each
program raises money to purchase new equipment and gear, make field
improvements and rennovations, and pay assistant coaches within the program.
Without fundraising, none of this would be possible.
What improvements have been made recently? In the last seven years,
we have been able to completely replace all the uniforms in the program, purchase
new training aides for both our indoor and outdoor facilities, construct dugouts, build
a turf batting cage, purchase and install a scoreboard, purchase a sound system,
and fix the outfield fence for safety.
What's next? This year we have a variety of things for which we are fundraising.
First, we need to replace the indoor mounds. While we are splitting the cost of this
with the Boosters, this alone will cost the baseball program approximately $1000.
Additionally, we are looking to replace the netting on the portable batting cage,
making it once again usable, and we also need to replace the dugout windscreens,
which are torn. Lastly, we will purchase new indoor training aides.
What else is being done outside of these fundraisers? In addition to
the several team fundraising events, the coaching staff runs several camps and
clinics each year to raise funds. Additional funds are generated through advertising
and team sponsorships.

In 2011, the Baseball and Softball programs, with the help of the RHS
Booster Club, were able to raise over $45,000 for the construction of
dugouts at RHS.
How much will this cost: Costs vary from company to company, but we are looking in the range
of $3,000 - $5,000. We also are looking into getting supplies donated and doing some of the
work ourselves. If the district will allow us to do so, we could potentially cut the costs in half.

DUGOUT PROJECT - COMPLETED 2011
Our next project is to help with the rennovation of the
baseball/softball complex at RHS. With the 2015 Bond,
passed in November, we are likely to see some
improvements, however, some projects will need to be
funded by our program. Since the bond also calls for
installation of new turf on the stadium, we have access to
the old turf. With this, we are looking to construct a new,
larger batting cage along the existing fence line. We also
are looking into moving the bleachers as well.
NEXT PROJECT - RENNOVATING
THE UPPER FIELDS
What is being done to complete this project?: Currently we are putting all additional funds raised this year
into the completion of this project. All money raised above the costs of the program will be used to
complete this, with a target completion in the summer of 2016.

Next Fundraiser: 8th Annual Bowling Day
Friday March 3rd
Our next team fundraiser is the 7th Annual Rochester Baseball
Bowling Night. This is one of the baseball program's largest
fundraisers, and the money raised will offset the costs of running
our program. Additionally, funds are being raised to purchase new
indoor mounds (split cost with Boosters), replace the netting on the
outdoor portable batting cage, and purchase some new equipment
for training indoors.
As we prepare for this event, we are actively looking for parents to assist with this
event. If you are interested in helping, please contact Coach Magiera at
